At Rivier, we offer elementary education programs for both current and prospective teachers. 在M区.Ed. in Elementary 教育 program, you’ll learn effective teaching strategies and strengthen your mastery of academic content working with professors who are widely recognized regionally and nationally as experts in their fields.

This program includes coursework, field experiences, and an internship. Coursework spans a wide range of subjects—reading, 数学, 科学, 历史, 艺术, 技术, classroom behavior management, 和更多的.

Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for certification in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, 和你.S. 领土, the Department of Defense 教育 Activity, 阿尔伯塔省, 英属哥伦比亚, and Ontario per the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement.

If you are seeking teacher certification, you must apply for licensure after successfully completing the internship, the program competencies, and other program requirements. New Hampshire teacher licensure is not automatic with the completion of the internship.

Carol Gorelick, Class of 1999/2005G, is a third grade teacher in the 纳舒厄 School District. Knowing how easy it can be to lose young students' interest, Carol is highly creative. She incorporates many hands-on activities and lessons with movement to get students out of their chairs. Beyond the classroom, she hosts her own television show, “这是Storytime," on 纳舒厄's education channel 99 cable access. She provides background information and reads classic childrens' stories to an audience of K-3 纳舒厄 students to get them excited about reading and literature.
